A choice of three flavours
We offer three keto bars. They contain no sugar, no sweetener, no dates, no fruit and no vegetable oil – only the goodness of coconut oil.
Our African Macadamia bar is made with nuts, seeds and natural flavouring.
The natural flavouring comes from the highly nutritious African macadamia nut, which is a good source of vitamin A, iron, protein, thiamine, riboflavin and niacin.
It also provides small amounts of selenium (an antioxidant), calcium, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium.

blanched almonds (21%), chicory root, pecan nuts (15%), macadamia nuts (9%), sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, water, almond butter (3%), whey protein isolate, coconut oil (2%), natural flavouring, emulsifier (rapeseed lecithin), salt, rosemary extract.
Our Dark Cocoa bar is made with nuts, seeds and natural flavouring.
The chocolate flavour and darkness come from cocoa, which is high in iron, magnesium and zinc.

Our Almond Coffee bar is made with nuts, seeds and natural flavouring. The natural flavouring from coffee will delight you.

Our keto bars don’t contain artificial sweeteners
Many snacks, including low-carb foods and many other brands of keto bars, contain artificial sweeteners.
Among the most common are aspartame, sucralose, saccharin, neotame and acesulfame potassium.
Artificial sweeteners are chemicals recognised as sweet by taste receptors on the tongue.
The body can’t break down the chemicals so they provide virtually zero calories.
Sounds good, but are they too good to be true? Possibly…
Are artificial sweeteners bad for you?
Artificial sweeteners may be helpful for those looking to reduce their sugar intake.
However, concerns remain about their possible health effects.
For example, studies have linked artificial sweeteners to side-effects ranging from headaches and poor blood sugar control to disrupted gut bacteria and higher risk of metabolic syndrome.
Not all the research is conclusive, and more studies are still needed.
In the meantime, BenBanter prefers to avoid artificial sweeteners where naturally sweet, low-carb foods can serve the same purpose.

Understanding the ingredients in our keto bars
You may not recognise all the ingredients in our keto bars, but they’re all nutritious, natural ingredients.
This is a fibre-rich plant that helps you feel full.
Whey protein isolate
Whey protein isolates contain all nine amino acids. It’s among the purest protein sources, ideal for fuelling muscle and stimulating muscle protein synthesis.
A natural flavouring is one that is derived from a plant, fruit or spice. It’s not created in a laboratory.
Rapeseed lecithin (emulsifier)
Lecithin, which is made from rapeseed, contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which benefits cardiovascular health.
Ingredients in other low-carb and keto bars
Always read the ingredient list, and don’t assume that “keto-friendly” means healthy. Low-carb junk is still junk!
The following ingredients, which appear in some keto bars, are probably best avoided:
- artificial sweeteners like sucralose, aspartame and saccharin
- sugar alcohols, such as xylitol, sorbitol, maltitol and erythritol (although this is the best of the sugar alcohols)
- unhealthy oils, such as palm, soybean, canola, corn, grapeseed, peanut, sunflower and safflower oil
- isomalto-oligosaccharide (or IMO), a starch-based syrup that, according to studies, can actually spike blood sugar levels.
